Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians To Work With GAN for Simulated Gaming

We’ve talked quite a bit about European online/mobile gaming platform providers GAN during the past year. They’ve quietly built a strong presence in the US gaming industry by providing technology that allows casino partners to offer a variety of online and in-person services. Their real specialty is online casino gaming and sports betting and they continue to add new clients to their US portfolio.

The most recent addition is in California where sports betting is yet to become legal. GAN will partner with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians for an online and mobile simulated gaming platform. Simulated gaming is a growing product category–it allows casinos to ‘lay the groundwork’ for real money online gaming in advance. When the regulatory changes come into place to facilitate real money play it allows casinos to quickly change over from simulated to actual wagering. It is also a great opportunity to help a client base become familiar with the online betting software package. Additionally, it provides a good deal of interesting demographic data about their best customers.

The Agua Caliente tribal gaming operations currently include two properties in California–the Agua Caliente Casino in Palm Springs and the Agua Caliente Resort, Casino and Spa in Rancho Mirage. The tribe recently received approval to build a third casino in downtown Cathedral City.

Jeff Berman, Chief Commercial Officer of GAN, is looking forward to working with the Agua Caliente gaming properties:

“We are enormously privileged to bring one of America’s largest and most vibrant Native American casino resort operators online with our Simulated Gaming solution. Southern California is a significant regional US gaming market, with the largest population concentration in the US, reinforcing GAN’s market position as the leading B2B enterprise software solution provider to ‘brick and mortar’ US casinos.”

Bill Oliver, CIO of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, shared these thoughts about the relationship with GAN:

“We selected GAN for its proven success in helping casino properties launch online gaming and for its ability to embed our on-property rewards program into an online experience. Equipped with GAN’s Simulated Gaming, we will now introduce our casino properties online to a wider audience of casino enthusiasts located in adjacent regional markets.”

The Agua Caliente casinos are the 15th US gaming operator to license the GAN technology platform. In addition, they represent the sixth Native American casino operator to partner with GAN since 2014.
