Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI)–parent company of the iconic Louisville race track–has opened a retail sportsbook at Rising Star Casino Resort in Indiana under its BetAmerica brand in partnership with SB Tech. The Rising Star Casino is located in Rising Star, Indiana and is located less than an hour from Cincinnati and less than two hours from Indianapolis and Louisville.
Full House Resorts owns and operates the Rising Star Casino and announced the deal with BetAmerica back in September. BetAmerica will also provide online/mobile wagering statewide once all of the licensing is approved by the Indiana Gaming Commission. Full House Resorts also owns Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado and the deal also includes a BetAmerica retail sportsbook at that property along with online/mobile betting statewide.
Bill Carstanjen, CEO of CDI had these comments about the BetAmerica launch at Rising Star Casino:

BetAmerica President Ian Williams also had some comments on the sportsbook launch with a similar emphasis on CDI’s experience with online wagering:

The 3000 square foot sportsbook will relay action to bettors more than 30 television screens. Wagering services will be provided by live tellers supplemented by 16 self service betting kiosks.
