London based, NASDAQ listed (IGT) International Gaming Technologies is best known for casino slot and video poker machines but they’ve been making considerable headway in the nascent United States sports betting market. They’ve just added another state to their portfolio with their PlaySports platform powering the wagering kiosks at the Saracen Casino Annex in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
With the addition of Arkansas, IGT now has a sports betting presence in ten US states. In addition to Arkansas you’ll find IGT technology powering sportsbooks in Indiana, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Mississippi, West Virginia, Rhode Island and Nevada.

The Saracen Casino Annex is located adjacent to the site of the Saracen Casino Resort, which is currently under construction and targeting an opening in June 2020. Once open, the Saracen Casino Resort will have an 80,000-square foot casino with 2,000 slot machines and 50 gambling tables–and an IGT powered sportsbook. Additionally, the complex with have a 300-room hotel with conference and banquet centers, an entertainment venue, and several restaurants.
The newly opened Annex has 300 slot machines, a sports bar, a convenience store and a gas station. They’ve already installed one IGT sports betting kiosk with four additional kiosks on the way. The Annex is open 24/7 and is already attracting brisk business. The Annex alone employs over 230 people. The construction of the Saracen Casino Resort will employ over 1,100 workers during construction and over 1,000 permanent employees once the property is open for business.
